Visual testing (VT)

Visual inspection is one of the most common and most used means of non-destructive testing. Visual testing requires good illumination of the test surface and proper eye-sight of the tester.

Visual inspection requires training, the knowledge of product and process, anticipated service conditions, acceptance criteria and it has its own range of equipment and instruments.

It is also a fact that all defects found by other NDT methods ultimately must be substantiated by visual inspection.

Visual Testing can be classified as Direct visual testing, Remote visual testing and Translucent visual testing.

Our Teams are qualified, well trained and experienced in this work. Work can be done on board of a vessel in service or in port / dry dock.

Our Technicians use only the best/newest equipment. All kind of measurements of internals in large tanks can be done by rafting (using our own rafts) or by rope access 3rd level Technicians IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) trained, examined and certified).
